Job Title: New Build Fibre Optic Installation Engineer
Location: Various MDU New Build Sites – London
Job Type: Subcontract (CIS)

Overview:

Excalibur Networks is seeking experienced Fibre Optic Installation Engineers to support new build MDU projects across London. This role is suited for self-motivated subcontractors with a strong background in fibre splicing, testing, and installation on Hyperoptic networks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Splicing and testing of Customer Service Points

• Installation of Customer Premises Equipment

• Splicing and testing of Fibre Distribution Points

• Splicing and testing of fibre trays

• Accurate daily reporting of completed works

Requirements:

• Valid ECS, CSCS, or EUSR card (minimum requirement)

• Proven Hyperoptic experience

• Own splicer and power meter

• Full set of hand tools (e.g., drills, basic tools)

• Own transport (essential for site mobility)

Preferred (Not Essential):

• SA002 (Underground Safety Accreditation)

• NRSWA (Street Works Certification)

• OTDR testing experience

• SSSTS/SMSTS

Additional Opportunities:

Candidates with the right skill set and certifications may also be considered for SDU new build work.
